Bible Prophecy

Recently my husband read a book on Bible prophecy (God’s Plan for the Ages by Dr. David R. Reagan) and suggested that I might enjoy reading it.

At first I totally disregarded the thought thinking it would be way over my head. However, his comments were so intriguing that I decided to at least make an attempt and skim the first few chapters.

Much to my surprise, I have decided to go back and read from the beginning in more detail. I realize that some of the book will be way over my head but other parts will open my eyes to help me understand concepts that I accepted as truths in a different light.

The Greatest Story Ever Told

The Greatest Story Ever Told

The Bible is God’s Word. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.

For “All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord stands forever.” And this is the word that was preached to you. 1 Peter 1:24-25

God has a purpose for our lives. Our story matters to God and it is interwoven with His story. God’s story is all about Jesus. It is God’s desire to redeem mankind despite our failures.

Summary of the Bible:
Old Testament…
— Jesus is coming.
4 Gospels…
— Jesus is here.
Remainder of the New Testament…
— Jesus is coming again.

All else is meaningless without a relationship with God. No person can meet all of our needs except God.

God’s story is still being written and you can be a part of His story. Pray for a relationship with God not just a name or a picture.

A New Beginning

It was probably two years ago that I started my first blog. I gradually added another, and another, and yet another. I enjoyed blogging but I was so tied to blog posts that my passion for blogging began to fade. Gradually each of my blogs, one by one, subsided.

After about six to eight months of literally no blogging, I have once again developed the desire to share my thoughts and passions on a blog. I may share a recipe, a Bible verse, a meaningful quote, or no telling what else. But I did learn a lesson and I do not plan to start any more.
